Search results creative asset size
Updated
In iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, a creative asset can appear under your app in search results, in place of your screenshots. It's often the first impression someone gets of your app, before they ever open your product page.
The image has a 3:2 aspect ratio. Any size from 1920 x 1280 pixels up to 3840 x 2560 pixels is accepted, as PNG or JPG with no transparency. If you don't set one, your In-App Events, app previews and screenshots appear instead.

Questions
- What size is the search results image?
- Any 3:2 size from 1920 x 1280 pixels to 3840 x 2560 pixels. Exporting at the maximum gives the sharpest result.
- Where is the safe area?
- At the maximum size, the official template marks a safe area of 2168 x 1030 pixels, starting 836 pixels from the left and 765 from the top. The template is drawn at the maximum size; storeheader scales the safe area proportionally when you export smaller.
- What should a search result image show?
- Make the purpose of your app obvious at a glance. People in search are looking for something specific, so show the real interface, content or gameplay.
- What happens if I don't add one?
- Your In-App Events, app previews and screenshots are shown instead.
